Royal Family Kids' Camps (RFKC) is a one-week residential summer camp experience for children who have a documented history of abuse, neglect, or abandonment. All of the children who attend our camp are referred to the camp through Social Workers and the Department of Human Services. There is no charge for the children to attend, and our camp is staffed by all volunteers who undergo a minimum of 12 hours of training.

Our camp is faith based and we have Bible stories and prayer each day, but our goal is not to convert children, but rather to plant the seeds of hope and to demonstrate God´s love, providing positive memories for hurting children.

We work hard to plan a camp that is fun and safe. Each adult counselor is matched with two children and then they in turn are matched with another two children and their counselor. Each group is assigned a cabin to share, and they rotate through the activities together which include horseback riding, swimming, drama, arts and crafts, archery, baseball, soccer, canoeing, songs, and woodworking.

The Camp is expensive to produce and all funding for the camp comes from donations and grants. In 2004, we decided to use technology to broaden our fund raising for this camp. An Internet Auction was suggested to the Board of Directors by one of the camp counselors, as she and her husband had been successful raising money for a school program for four years using this same idea. Our Board of Directors has endorsed this idea and our first auction was held in March, 2004. During the week of March 10, 2019, we will hold our fifteenth auction. This site was developed mainly for the auction, but please click to learn more about this wonderful program!
